Louisa May Alcott was a famous author, who wrote Little Women. Little Women is one of her most famous books. It was based off of her life and sisters. She enjoyed acting, writing, and reading. She was also the second oldest in her family. Josephine March, a character in this story, was based off of her.The publishing of Little Women changed her life forever and saved her families life in poverty. Louisa was not thrilled at the fact of writing Little Women, but it gave her the chance to think and reflect on her past. During the Civil war she was a nurse in Washington D.C. Louisa was born on November 29, 1832 in Germantown, Pennsylvania. She died on March 6, 1888 in Boston, Massachusetts. Louisa was a magnificent woman, and we enjoyed reading her book.
